EMPOWER KIDS THROUGH BASEBALL & SOFTBALL
OUR INSPIRATION
Our son, brother, uncle and grandson Matt McConnell was an avid baseball player from a very young age. Baseball was in his blood. Matt enjoyed playing every position on the field, but catcher was his favorite. He played for his High School team in Stansbury Park, Utah. Many traveling teams and especially loved attending Rocky Mountain School of Baseball. Matt loved being a part of a team, having fun and making memories. His young life (17 years) was cut short due to a tragic Ice Fishing accident with his dad. Carbon Monoxide poisoning took their lives. We hope to keep his memory alive and continue his legacy through our foundation. Matt #12 Forever #17 will always be our Angel In The Outfield.
OUR MISSION
Angel in the Outfield is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization that is committed to providing underprivileged kids with access to baseball and softball activities, nurturing their skills, fostering growth, and positively impacting their character through sports. Our goal is to create a lasting difference in the lives of youth and adolescent baseball and softball enthusiasts, helping them stay active and develop essential life skills.
OUR INITIATIVES
Our goal is to make a difference by building an organization that establishes ongoing projects dedicated to enriching the lives of young athletes. We are now and always striving for growth. We plan to one day establish youth programs, equipment drives, community tournaments, and skill development camps designed to provide opportunities for kids to learn and improve while building character through athletics.
